The Bushrangers Bar & Brasserie is six times winner of the Australian Hotels Association Awards for Excellence in Outstanding Community Support. The hotel regularly supports many sporting associations as well as community organisations, schools and cultural groups. This years annual Village Winter Ball was held on Saturday 5th July 2008, the money raised from this years Ball went to the Largs Public School P&C to help them buy a 'Smart board' which was damaged by a vandalism breakin earlier this year. Money was also shared with the Hunter branch of the MS society. Our other big event, The Brenda Clouten Young Achiever in Art Travelling Scholarship is now open for entries. Submissions close on 1st October 2008 and you can email Lauren at MRAG laurenv@maitland.nsw.gov.au for an entry form. Last year's winner Ben Soedradjit is now travelling in London to pursue his career further. Both these events are major fundraisers for our local community. .
